Join us from 11am-12 pm this Monday, November 11th to observe a rare celestial event - the transit of Mercury across the face of the sun. The last time this event occurred was over three years ago. The next time this event is visible in the U.S. is the year 2049.
Dan Johnson, owner of Astronomy Night and Day will be at the MAP from 11am-12pm with his 10" telescope and a special solar filter that allows safe observation of the sun. Mercury will look like a tiny black disk crossing the sun.
Be sure the skies are clear / partly cloudy before arriving!
REMINDER: NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN.
