SciFun Camp: Archaeology (day 2 of 2)

What was life like in ancient Egypt?  What drove people from living the hunter-gatherer lifestyle to living in permanent communities?  What clues can we decipher about everyday life from pieces of a broken pot?  Humans have been living in communities ranging from small villages to giant cities for thousands of years, and some of their relics still stand today.  Think Stonehenge and the Colosseum!

Becoming an archaeologist means learning how to be a detective and put pieces together.  And to further understand what an archaeologist studies, you will learn how to make bricks for buildings using different materials, make masks, clay pots, and practice using archaeological tools.

For elementary school age learners.

This is a 2 day camp. Camp runs February 16th-17th. Drop-off for camps are from 8:00-8:20 (drop off) to 3:30-4:00 (pick-up).
