Join us for our Third Annual PLAY FOR KCUA Pickleball Tournament benefiting KC Urban Advantage! On Saturday, September 7th at Chicken N Pickle Overland Park for a morning of FUN, EXCITEMENT, FOOD, DRINK and DOING GOOD for Kansas City's most underserved children!
Each year we celebrate COLLABORATION, PARTNERSHIPS + ACCESS FOR ALL - Building Bridges Across Kansas City: A Path to Breaking Cyclical Poverty Through Education, TOGETHER.
WHY WE PLAY
Your support will enable the Museum at Prairiefire to provide thousands of under-served students, partner organizations and educators throughout the Kansas City area with KC Urban Advantage programming. To discover natural history, the arts and science not only as a way to understand the world, but make a difference; in their lives and our community.
EVENT DETAILS
Brunch, Bar & Silent Auction
You'll enjoy a delicious Brunch Buffet featuring Chicken and Waffles along with scrambled eggs, fruits and dessert bites. Sip away from the Stark Caverns Mary's & Mimosas Bar with a variety of build your own options with endless possibilities! There will be a Silent Auction that will blow the paddle right out of your hand with Rock Star items autographed by A-listers, Fun Trips and Bucket List Experiences! You can also get in on the raffle for a chance to play with Chiefs Ambassadors!
Tournament spots are limited, so sign up early! Grab your colleagues, a team of friends or family and come out for some great times while doing good for Kansas City’s youth.

KC URBAN ADVANTAGE is a standards and research-based collaboration between under served schools and youth, the Museum at Prairiefire and partnering Kansas City metro cultural and learning institutions such as museums, science centers, cultural organizations and zoos.
KC Urban Advantage is funded in full by the Museum at Prairiefire, and collectively, alongside its partnering cultural and learning institutions provides extraordinary resources in direct support of STEAM – specific goals including:
1. High-quality professional development for teachers and administrators
2. Classroom materials and equipment that promote scientific inquiry and authentic investigations
3. Access to Urban Advantage Partner institutions through free school and family field trips
4. Outreach through family events, celebrations of student achievement, and parent coordinator workshops
5. Capacity-building and sustainability structures, including a network of demonstration schools and support for the development of lead teachers
6. Assessment of program goals, student learning, systems of delivery, and outcomes
