Guest Experience

The Museum at Prairiefire is currently not hiring for Guest Experience positions. This is a general Guest Experience position description. This position consists of:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greeting and checking-in guests at our Welcome Desk

  • Selling tickets, memberships, postcards, and other merchandise

  • Opening and closing the cash drawer and Great Hall technology

  • Answering the phone

  • Going over the Visitor Guides with guests

  • Answering guests questions

• Facilitating education in our Discovery Room

  • Opening and closing the Discovery Room

  • Feeding the animals

  • Greeting guests and answering questions

  • Cleaning and resetting the Discovery Room as needed

• Facilitating Virtual Reality

  • Setting up and running the virtual reality system for guests

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES IF NEEDED

• Facilitate Birthday Parties

  • Be the point of contact for the birthday party guests while in the building

  • Direct birthday party guests to the birthday party location

  • Facilitate the Discovery Room for the birthday party

• Facilitate Programming

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, or currently enrolled in high school and at least 16 year old
