SciFun Camp: Science of Hibernation and Migrations

Temperatures are dropping, and it is a busy time for plants and wildlife or all sorts.  Some seek shelter and sleep the entire winter, others head to warmer climates, while still others stick it out and remain active throughout the season.  Which ones do which, and how can you use this knowledge to understand and predict what you will see in the winter.

Living things have some pretty unique strategies for coping with winter.  For those that stay active, like robins and cardinals, there are things we can do to help them find food and shelter even in the coldest months.

For elementary school age learners.

Camp runs November 1st. Drop-off for camps are from 8:00-8:20 (drop off) to 3:30-4:00 (pick-up).
