SciFun Camp: Science of Winter (day 2 of 2)

The cold is here, and it’s a great time to learn about ice and its weird scientific properties - why does ice, which is a solid, float while other solid forms of a substance sink?  It has to do with tiny water molecules, and how they arrange themselves.  Also, how does road salt work?  How is it possible to get a sunburn on a snow-covered day?

Ice can be both fun and a nuisance, but either way it is an interesting substance.  There are plenty of experiments you can conduct with it to learn more about it.  We will also learn to make snow using shaving cream!

For elementary school age learners.

This is a 2 day camp. Camp runs January 2nd & 3rd. Drop-off for camps are from 8:00-8:20 (drop off) to 3:30-4:00 (pick-up).

Cost is $80 for members and $100 for non members (Members, please log in to your account and use the discount code previously emailed to you)
