SciFun Summer Camp: Dinosaurs to Ice Age Mammals

$275.00

Have you ever found a fossilized bone and wondered what prehistoric animal it belonged to?  Was it a dinosaur that lived 100 million years ago?  Maybe it was from a mastodon that lived during the ice age, less than a million years ago, or an ancient rhinoceros that lived about 10 million years ago?  This summer, we’re going to get a closer look at these large animals that left their fossilized remains behind.  We are going to learn about dinosaurs and other prehistoric mammals that lived more recently after dinosaurs went extinct!  During the camp, we will explore the life of these large animals—how they searched for food, what they ate, how they looked, and even figure out where they lived based on what’s inside their poo. We’ll also learn what makes Kansas and Missouri fossils of these creatures unique and why that fossil you found in your backyard may or may not be the fossilized remains of a dinosaur. Each version of this camp is designed specifically for either early or late elementary ages.
